Privacy Policy

Last Updated: May 22, 2026

This policy covers the privacy practices of TrackDone - both the TrackDone app and the TrackDone website ("TrackDone," "we," "our"). Your privacy matters to us, and we are committed to being transparent about how we handle your data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we handle it.

TrackDone is the data controller for information collected through the app and the website. To exercise any of the rights described below, or for any privacy-related question, contact us at hello@trackdone.app.

What We Collect

We only collect data that is necessary to provide the app's core functionality, maintain its reliability, and manage subscriptions. Here is what that includes:

Account information. When you sign in (via Google, Apple, or email link), we collect your email address to identify your account. If you sign in with Google or Apple, your name and profile photo may also be provided by that service and held in our authentication system.

Your content. The activities, logs, categories, and preferences you create in the app. This is the core of what TrackDone stores for you.

Purchase information. If you subscribe to Pro, your subscription plan, status, and transaction details are managed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and processed through RevenueCat.

Diagnostics. Crash reports and error logs are sent to Sentry to help us fix bugs. These are scrubbed of personal information before being sent - no emails or identifying details are included.

Subscription funnel data. To understand and improve the upgrade experience, we record events around TrackDone Pro - for example, when the upgrade screen is shown, which plan is selected, and whether a purchase is completed or abandoned. This information is tied to your account and stays within TrackDone's own systems. We do not use a third-party analytics service in the app.

We do not sell your data. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

Legal Basis for Processing

If you are in the EU/EEA, we rely on these legal bases under the GDPR. We process your account information and your content to perform our contract with you - without this data, we cannot provide the app. We process subscription and purchase information to perform that contract and to meet legal obligations. We process crash reports and subscription funnel data on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping TrackDone reliable and improving it.

How Your Data Is Stored

TrackDone is a local-first app. Your data is stored on your device first, and everything works offline.

When you sign in, your data is also synced to secure cloud servers so you can access it across devices. The free tier (up to 4 activities) works without an account. Beyond that, sign-in and a subscription are required.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your account information and your content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, that content is permanently removed (see "Deleting Your Data" below). Crash reports are retained by Sentry under its own retention schedule.

We retain transaction and subscription records for the periods required by law and for handling refunds and disputes. We retain subscription funnel data as part of our product records, to understand and improve how people upgrade to Pro. EU/EEA users have the right to request deletion of this data (see "Your Rights").

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted services to run TrackDone: Supabase for authentication and cloud storage, RevenueCat for subscription management, Sentry for crash reporting (production only, personal information scrubbed), and Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In for authentication. We also host this website on Vercel, which provides analytics and performance measurement for the site itself (described below). Each service processes only the data necessary for its function and is bound by its own privacy policy:

Some of these services are based in the United States, so your data may be processed outside the EU/EEA. These transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, which require each provider to safeguard your data to European standards.

When you visit this website, we read the device type from your browser's request so we can route you to the correct app store download link. This is a standard server-side check; we do not store the information or use it for anything else.

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand how visitors use this website and how well pages perform. These tools are cookieless, do not use personal identifiers, and only report aggregate page metrics. Vercel processes this data as our hosting provider.

Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information.

Subscriptions

Pro subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Manage or cancel your subscription through your device settings: on iOS, go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions; on Android, go to Play Store > Subscriptions. If a free trial is offered and you subscribe before it ends, the unused trial portion is forfeited. Current pricing is displayed in the app.

Deleting Your Data

You can delete your account from Settings in the app. This permanently removes your content - activities, logs, categories, and preferences - from both your device and our cloud servers, and anonymizes your authentication record. Transaction, subscription, and funnel records are retained as described in "How Long We Keep Your Data"; RevenueCat and the app stores also keep their own transaction records. You can also remove local data by uninstalling the app.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. If you are in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under the GDPR, including data portability and the right to restrict or object to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are in California, you have the right under the CCPA to know what data we collect and to request its deletion - we do not sell or share personal information for advertising purposes. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@trackdone.app. We will respond within 30 days. For complex requests, we may extend this by up to two further months and will let you know if we need to.

Children's Privacy

TrackDone is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have, we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
